Ethiopian nationals Apprehended on Over Illegal Entry

on 18 April 2021, the Malawi Immigration and citizenship services in the Northern region in collaboration with Malawi Police Service officers based at Rumphi Police station apprehended 19 Ethiopian nationals and one Malawia

Reports Ready for MBC’s Sexual Harassment Allegations and Nyondo’s Shooting – MHRC

Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) says it is ready to release a report on allegations of sexual harassment at the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and the shooting of Blessings Nyondo, a former Polytechnic student.

Magufuli was a Strong Leader – Chakwera

The state President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has described the late Tanzanian President John Magufuli as a strong leader "who has proved that with determination African countries can achieve a lot in a short period of time". Chakwera said this at Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe on his arrival from Tanzania, where he attended the funeral ceremony of the late Magufuli who died on March 17, 2021.

Deputy Minister of Local government Launches K2 billion roads construction project in Blantyre

On Friday, Deputy Minister of local government Honourable Halima Daud launched a K2 billion roads construction project in Blantyre City. Under the Roads Fund Administration financed projects, the Council will construct Chilobwe-Stella Maris Road, North Road-Market Street in Limbe, Kapeni Road-Mahatma Gandhi at Mount Pleasant Street and Slip Lanes at Kamba, Kapeni, Keza and South End School junctions.
