BLANTYRE, Today Saturday is the 29th day of Ramadan and tomorrow Sunday will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, the feast marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
This follows the sighting of the moon today.

“I would like to inform all Malawians that the moon has been sighted today. Therefore, the Eid Al-Fitr celebration will begin tomorrow.
According to the Muslim lunar calendar, Eid Al-Fitr begins the morning after the sighting of the new moon ending Ramadan, the ninth month of the lunar calendar.
