Malawi Muslim Medical Students Awarded at International Medical Camp

Malawi Medical Students have been awarded at the just ended 18th Federation of Islamic Medical Associations (FIMA) medical camp in Kampala, Uganda.

The students have been awarded with a certificate for their active participation during a one week camp organised by Islamic Medical Association of Uganda (IMAU) in conjunction with FIMA under the theme ” Muslim Health Professionals in the Globalization Era,”

The camp brought together Muslim medical students from several countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh, Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda , Kenya , Indonesia, Burma, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

During the camp, Malawi students studying Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Nursing Sciences at Islamic University in Uganda -Habib Medical School represented the country under Islamic Medical Association (IMA)- Malawi led by a third year Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery student Mustafa Issah.

During the camp,Malawi Medical students presented on the scope of Muslim contributions in Malawi health sector and their project on HIV/AIDS.

The camp held from 3rd January- 9th January, 2019 at Islamic University in Uganda- Females campus in Kabojja, Kampala.

The camp was sponsored by the Islamic Medical Association of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (IMAKSA)
