Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM) Board of Trustees Vice Chairperson who is also Minister of Transport and Public Infrastructure Sidik Mia has commended Muslims in the country for showing their support towards the development of the Muslim community. Radio Islam online reported.
Honourable Mia was speaking at the opening ceremony of newly built Al-Madina Mosque at Mapira village in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Mponda in Mangochi.
Mia observed that the construction of Al-Madina Mosque in the area is a clear indication that Muslims have the interest in the developmental activities in the country.
He therefore asked Sheikhs and Traditional leaders to come up with committees that will help them to be sharing ideas on how they can develop Islam in various sectors.
Making his remarks, MAM National Chairman Sheikh Idrissa Muhammad said it is good for Muslims to work with government as one way of developing this country.
The National Chairman also appealed to the Muslim community in the country to remain united.
Thanks,the Minister and the chairman work for the benefit of Islam and seek rewards from ALLAH for the Life here after.Unity for the sake of Islam its vital.But remember mr chairman your promise, about the people who stole MAMs money should be brought to book. we will not sleep till that issue is solved to conclusion.They should explain to muslims what they did with the money.That case should not die natura death.Islam has set all standards regarding to human behaviour.The solution for stealing its there. Start the case now than later.
