Former cabinet minister Honourable Muhammad Sidik Mia has finally come out of cocoon to announce that he is returning to frontline politics.
Mia said this on Friday during iftaar programme he organised at his residence in Blantyre. He therefore appealed to the Muslims and all citizens in the country to support him, saying he has got so many plans that will help to uplift the lives of people in the country.
“Talking about politics among Muslims, I excel. Therefore, I ask all Muslims to show that brotherhood by supporting me. I am not vying for a position of member of parliament…no! I am for a big position,” he said.
The business tycoon therefore said it is not something secret to say he is bouncing back to politics as other media houses have earlier reported.
“Can you talk a secret to a crowd? Then why did some say I recorded my conversation secretly? This is not a secret. It is a reality. I am bouncing back,” said Mia.
Mia resigned from his ministerial post during the Joyce Banda regime in 2013 and announced that he had left politics. However, he says he has seen that he has much potential and capacity to make a difference in this country and put Malawi to a good position where it is supposed to be.
He therefore, blamed other people who don’t voice out even when they see things are not going on well in the country.
