Muslim Women Organization (MWO) is set to conduct its regional elections after the month of Ramadan, Malawi Muslims website has established.
Nancy Lipenga regional coordinator for (MWO) said currently, they have finished holding elections in all the districts in the north, and they are remaining with one district in the central and two in the south.
“As soon as we finish holding elections in the remaining three districts, we shall conduct our regional elections after (the month of) Ramadan, then after we shall conduct National Elections,” she said.
The development comes following complaints from other women especially young ones that the Muslim Women Organization committee has over stayed without holding elections.
This will give a chance to the new generation who are aspiring to join the organisation at the national level to contest on various positions.
The problem with Mayi Lipenga z dat she never let’s other pple hav her position, she just wants to linger on n on…she too old for that, she shud rest.
