Ten Malawian students have graduated yesterday in various disciplines at Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU).
The students graduated in Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication (Honors), Bachelor of Information Technology (Honors), Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Honors), Bachelor of Business Studies, Major Accounting (Honors), Bachelor of Food Science and Nutrition (Honors) among other programs.
Addressing the graudating students, Rector of IUIU, Dr Ahmad Ssengendo said the students should go and work professionally in their communities.
According to Dr Ssengendo , the graduates to be problem solvers not the ones creating problems.
IUIU has over 30 students from Malawi in three campuses namely Main campus- Mbale, Females’campus-Kabojja and Kampala campus-Kibuli.
The 27th graduation of IUIU was graced by Dr Abdulaziz Alzabail, Chairman of the University Council and Dr Kirunda Kivejinja, 2nd Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda and Minister for East African Affairs who is also the Vice Chairman of the University Council.
Dr Kivejinja represented the President of Uganda , General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
