Police officers in Ntchisi district, have been told to embrace the spirit of praying for them to save people well.
The call was made on Thursday, February 27 2020, at Ntchisi Police Station during prayers organised by National Police Headquarters Spiritual Department.
Speaking during the prayers, National Police Headquarters Director of Spiritual Affairs. Senior Superintendent Steven Likhutcha, said police officers should embrace the spirit of praying for them to save people well.
He said police officers should be praying, and have good behavior for them to promote ethical standard and excise professionalism when discharging their duties.
“Know how to divide time and dedicate yourselves to the truth by praying. Only police officers who pray solve their problems in life,” said Likhutcha.
Concurring with the sentiments made by Senior Superintendent Father Likhutcha, Assistant Superintendent Canon, Samuel Major said police officers should love praying in order to achieve their intended goals, adding that praying promote love amongst police officers and also the people to be saved.
On his part, Ntchisi Police General Duties Officer Senior Superintendent Jemison Benjamin Mwale, hailed the spiritual team department for conducting prayers with police officers from Ntchisi Police Station.
According to National Police Headquarters Spiritual team, the program of visiting police formations to conduct prayers with police officers is an on going program, aimed at promoting ethical standard and professionalism among police officers.
