Muslim youths in the country have been advised to take a leading role in distributing Qurbani meat when the last ten days of Dhul-Hijja end.
The call was made by AbdulRashid Asima after successfully conducting Qurbani distribution project after the ten days of Dhul-Hijja recently.
Asima ,a Malawian youth based in South Africa told Malawi Muslim Website that him together with other youths in Malawi teamed up and slaughtered four bulls, seven goats and one sheep.
“Our Qurbani project benefited three districts namely Lilongwe, Salima and Nkhotakota. The project benefited over 350 people, Alhamdulillah,” he says.
Asima told Malawi Muslim Website that he started keeping some money for Ramadhan Eid (eid Ul-fitr) where he managed to accumulate some cash for people to enjoy Eid.
“After that event, I produced a report and showed it to some close friends who offered to help me with Qurbani program. One family offered money for three bulls and another family for one bull and another family for three sheeps and another one for two goats,” he says.
Asima hails the families who contributed to the project.
“Wallah, May Allah make us among the givers. The secret to happiness is when you give. Wallah, I loved and the families appreciated the way we handled the project. May Allah reward these families abundantly,” he says.
Asima says he has friends who are dedicated to continue helping people.
“When I started this program, it was only my idea. I decided to share to my friends. I have few brothers also and it is a team of passionate and dedicated youths.
We will raise funds and we are planning to open a farm to help us reach our goals, Insha Allah,”
