A 45 year old man in Nkhotakota has been murdered by unknown people between August 17-18, 2021 at Chibothera area in the district.
Nkhotakota Police Station Spokesperson Paaul Malimwe has identified the deceased as Christopher Gilemu of Bango village in the area of Traditional Authority Mwadzama in Nkhotakota.
Malimwe says on the material day, Gilemu went to Mpamantha trading center for other business and was last seen at Mkaika trading center at around 20:00 hours.
“Surprisingly, Gilemu did not report back home until on the wee hours of August 18, 2021, when he was found dead at Chibothera primary school with bruises around the shoulder.The matter was reported to Nkhotakota Police Station who swiftly rushed to the scene and the body was taken to Nkhotakota District Hospital where postmortem conducted revealed that, death was caused by internal bleeding,” he says.
Meanwhile, police in the district have launched a manhunt to bring to book the perpetrators.
