Muslim youths in Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe today stormed the city with God’s words from the Holy Qur’an and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)- (Hadiths).
The youths were on a mission to spread the uniqueness and greatness of God’s religion, Islam as part of “World Dawah Day,” that is observed today,3rd December. The theme for “World Dawah Day 2022” is “What’s Your Goal?”
Speaking in an interview with Muslim Media Agency, Shukran Juma who led the youths said they want people to understand why God created human beings and give them Islam as their religion.
“This year’s theme is unique. People live on earth without knowing their goal, so we wanted them to understand why God gave them/us life. We all have goals BUT a major one is to submit ourselves to Him (God) and attain paradise in the life hereafter,” he told Muslim Media Agency.
Just as how the followers of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) were conducting their “Dawah”,the youths divided themselves into groups to spread Islam in many areas.
Daudi Bornface,team leader of a group staged at Sana Magestore stressed on the need for non-believers to understand all dimensions of Islam.
“People can only understand Islam through the Holy Quran and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). It is our mandate to live a productive life that pleases God,” Daudi told people at the place.
The team leader told them that Islam is a way of life hence the need to subscribe to its teachings. Daudi quoted a verse from the Holy Qur’an which says that the only religion known by God is Islam.
Another team leader of a group staged at Wullian Shopping Centre, Nuhi Imedi told Muslim Media Agency that several people embraced Islam after understanding and scrutinizing the five pillars of the religion.
“The reverts have been convinced to re-join Islam after understanding what the religion is all about. Other people have promised to visit the Islamic Information Bureau (IIB) to learn more about Islam,” he said.
Over 40 Muslim youths volunteered to strategize and execute an extraordinary event. The youths were at Game Complex, City Mall, Sana Magestore and Wullian Shopping Centre among other areas.
Muslims across the globe planned several “Dawah” sessions today enlightening non-believers and believers about Islam and how the religion can change lives for their own benefit on earth and life hereafter.
