The Islamic organization called Annamariq for Relief and Development has constructed and handed over a first-class Islamic institution called Imam Bukhari Islamic Centre to equip people who have converted to Islam with Islamic knowledge.
Speaking during the handover ceremony , the Director of the organization Abu Bilal Walid said the place is set to equip reverts with information about Islam so that they should understand the religion deeply.
According to Walid, the Islamic centre aims at increasing the number of Islamic institutions in Mangochi district.
Speaking at the same event,Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM) Spokesperson Sheikh Dinala Chubulika commended the organization for the gesture.
MAM Spokesperson says the facility has come at a right time when many people in the country are rejoining Islam.
“Previously, the reverts lacked where to go and learn about Islam and some of them were forced to go back to their beliefs.The facility is going to benefit the reverts and all the Muslims in the country,” Chabulika said.
The Imaam Bukhari Islamic Centre which has been constructed to the tune of MK 175 Million is situated at group village headman Mwanyama, Traditional Authority Authority Mapira in Mangochi district.
