Another student who has bagged a First Class/Distinction -Honours Degree at the 31st graduation ceremony of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) held today in Mbale city- Eastern Uganda is Hameeda Lemani from Lilongwe.
Lemani told Muslim Media Agency (MMA) that she has graduated with a First Class Degree in a Bachelor of Procurement and Logistics Management (BPLM).
According to the fresh graduate, the secret to fly higher was hard working and remembering God (Allah) all the time.
Lemani urges girls who need to emulate her success thread to always plan their time and remember God in their academic endeavors.
“It is not that you can just be doing school things all the time but when it is time for school issues, pay full attention. Above all, let God lead, always,” she says.
Lemani says she is now in the process of job hunting and aspires to go for a Masters Degree in the near future.
Other students who have also bagged First Class Degrees at IUIU’s 31st graduation ceremony are Hawa Mustard from Lilongwe district and Waliya Manyamba Nkhotakota district. Masterd was pursuing a Bachelor of Procurement and Logistics Management as well while Manyamba studied a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) majoring in Accounting.
This year, over Fifteen Malawian students have graduated from IUIU unlike during the 31st graduation ceremony. Last graduation ceremony only Four students graduated from the University.
This graduation ceremony,Three Malawian students have graduated with First Class Degrees while during the 30th graduation ceremony only One Malawian student managed to bag a First Class Degree.
The students were studying programs such as Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Procurement and Logistics Management , Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
