On March 11, 2023, Skillsway, a technology solutions company, donated various assorted items to Zoe Foundation Orphanage in Lilongwe.
Speaking during the donation ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of Skillsway, Tionge Msiska, said the company promotes innovation in education, which is crucial to social and economic development of the country hence the donation to motivate the children.
In his remarks, The founder of the Zoe Foundation, Temwani Chilenga, commended Skillsway for the gesture, saying the donation is set to bail out 95 children at the place.
“The donation has come timely boost to the orphanage, which is dedicated to providing food and care to vulnerable children,” Chilenga said.
Skillsway’s Communications and Visibility Officer , Gerald Sumaili told Muslim Media Agency that items donated include maize, packs of soya pieces, milk, and washing soap.
According to Sumaili, the donation to the foundation is in line with the company’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and supporting initiatives that positively impact communities.
Sumaili said the company hopes to inspire other organizations to join in similar efforts that contribute to national development.
