Super League of Malawi (SULOM) President Fleetwood Haiya has asked sports reporters in the country to make the league exciting by reporting interesting, exciting and entertaining news about Malawi’s elite league.
Haiya made the call at Football Journalists Association workshop held on Sunday in Blantyre.
“We know you have values and you respect them but also you are the tool that can lure sponsors to the league hence let’s report things that will attract fans to patronise games and also for sponsors to come in and support teams and SULOM which will make the league entertaining,” said Haiya
Haiya also hinted on the coming of the new company to partner the league’s long time sponsor TNM Plc.
” We hope to reward teams with more than what they are getting now because currently we are in negotiations with companies who are ready to sponsor the league and we hope to announce them before the season kicks off mid month.” he said
Haiya also revealed that teams will get their subversion fee any day soon before the start of the season.
