Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Eisenhower Mkaka has urged workers in the Ministry to adopt President Dr Lazarus Chakwera’s servant leadership approach.
Mkaka made the remarks yesterday when meeting heads and senior officers in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe.
Mkaka told the workers to embrace the five pillars which are servant leadership, unity, prosperity for all, ending corruption and respect for the rule of law to fulfil Tonse Government objective of building a new Malawi.
He said Dr Chakwera’s Government will not go against anyone for their political affiliation but it needs civil servants who are ready to meet the needs of Malawians.
“We will not victimise anyone because of their political orientation but if your political affiliation is a stumbling block to the delivery of your duties and development of this country, be assured that you will not be tolerated,” he said.
Mkaka assured the civil servants in the ministry that the Tonse Government will create a conducive and satisfactory environment for them to discharge their duties diligently.
