The police have intensified the search for Ali Saidi Chinemba popularly known as Ali Kaka after failing to appear in court for his murder case.
Robium Banda, Deputy Commissioner for Blantyre Police said yesterday that the police are man hunting Chinenba within and across the borders of Malawi. “The High Court on 22 July 2015 revoked bail conditions for Mr Chinemba and ordered for his re-arrest when he failed to appear before court on that day. Since then we have been searching for him to be brought to book. We are therefore asking all Malawians with information regarding the whereabouts of Chinemba to report to any police station,” said Banda.
in August last year, Ali Kaka shot to death Kadzuwa Banda in Manja Township in Blantyre after quarreling over lorry that blocked a road to his private residence. The cold murder infuriated residents of Manja Township who ganged up and ransacked Chinemba’s house.
Ali Kaka had unsuccessfully contested as a Member of Parliament for Blantyre City South in 2009 and 2014 general elections.
He was last seen during the month of Ramadhaan attending daily prayers at Soche Mosque in Blantyre.
