The Malawi Muslims Website Team would like to announce that the site has migrated to a new domain with immediate effect
Making the announcement in Blantyre on Monday March 14, 2011, the managers of the site, Freelance Web Solutions Managing Partner Brother Marshall Dyton said that the change in the domain name has been necessitated due to revelations made after analysing the internet search trends compiled by Google search engine which revealed that the majority of people worldwide access the site by searching for “Malawi Muslims” and it was decided to change the domain name so that people should directly access the site from the search facility.
“The exercise was supposed to last for about 90 minutes and that the two sites were supposed to run concurrently, but we encountered a technical hitch that resulted in the old site to shut down thereby inconveniencing people in the process,” explained Brother Dyton, adding that, “our untiring team of technicians worked around the clock to make sure that the new site is back on line and we sincerely apologise to our readers for the untimely hiccup.”
The Muslim Official Website can now be accessed on this address: http://malawimuslims.com/ and consequently all the email addresses have changed accordingly by adding an ‘s’ on muslim.
“The site has been instrumental in providing religious information to Muslims and we are humbled by the overwhelming response that we get from across the globe, so the site had to be modified to meet the readers needs.” explained Brother Dyton. “In fact, a lot of improvements are underway and Insha Allah very soon the site will become a one-stop shop for all the information on Malawi Muslims and also religious information vetted by knowledgeable and respected religious personalities in the world.”
