The business people in Nkhotakota district calling themselves “Friends of Nkhotakota Police” have donated 8 tins of oil paint of 20 litres each to Nkhotakota Police station Saturday, 10th July, 2021.
Speaking at Nkhotakota Police Station during the handover of the paint, representative of the group Mr Jonathan Zikomo said they thought it wise to donate to police as a gesture to help the station.
Mr Zikomo said it was their social responsibility to make sure that the complainants and victims that come from different localities enjoy peace and stability. He promised to keep on assisting the police with any kind of assistance.
In his appreciation remarks, the Officer In-Charge for Nkhotakota Police station Mr Kade Kuweluza said he was grateful for the aid.
He further said, the donation has come at a right time when the police were in need of good accommodation for the office to enhance service delivery in the district.
Nkhotakota Police Station Public Relations Officer Paul Malimwe says to make sure that the expectations of people are met, the station officer for Nkhotakota Police station superintendent Clement Mwale has promised an enhanced partnership with the residents.
