Malawi national football team Coach, Meke Mwase has said the team is ready to win second 2021 AFCON qualifiers encounter against Uganda.
Speaking in an interview with Malawi Muslim Website in Kampala, Uganda Mwase said the prayers are looking forward to deliver at Namboole stadium on Sunday.
“we are ready for the game. The players are happy and motivated and they are looking forward for the game,” he said.
Mwase also urged Malawians living in Uganda to come in large numbers to support the team.
Malawi had the first training yesterday at Startimes stadium.
It was 19 years ago when Malawi and Uganda met in the preliminary round of 2002 AFCON qualifiers.
The captain of the Malawi side that time was the current Malawi coach, Meke Mwase.
Malawi is on top of Group B after beating South Sudan while Uganda is on third position after a draw with Burkina Faso.
