Malawian returnees from South Africa are demonstrating demanding their passports back and that they should be released immediately to go to their homes claiming they don’t have Covid-19. Returnees are being quarantined at Mapanga prison Training College.
An eye witness told Malawi Muslims Official Website that, The returnees have damaged part of the college during their riots and some have managed to escape from the Quarantine centre.
Police fired(dispersed) tear gas to stabilize the situation.
Yesterday Malawi received 518 Malawians returnees from South Africa Amidst Second wave of Covid-19.
