The first Lady for the Republic of Malawi Madam Monica Chakwera has commended Qadria Muslim women in the country.
Speaking yesterday during the commemoration of 2022 Qadria Muslim Association of Malawi (QMAM) Women National Dawa in Salima district, Chakwera said Muslim women play a great role in creating sustainable livelihoods.
The first lady who presided over the event further appealed to leaders to play their role in advancing inclusive social development and protecting women from all forms of injustice.
“This can only be realized to the fullest if we all coordinate and collaborate towards achieving one goal through serving humanity,” she explained.
The event which was also graced by the Minister of Minister of Water and Sanitation Hon Abida Mia, provided a platform for women empowerment and exchanging ideas for the development of Malawi.
