Muslim cleric, Sheikh Macsood John has urged who performed Hajj in 2023 including those from Malawi to maintain faith after fulfilling the holy pilgrimage.
In his Friday sermon, Sheikh John who is Imaam at Area 23 Gologota Mosque in Lilongwe said the pilgrims must value their trip.
” After peforming Hajj 2023, there no need for the pilgrims to return to their bad deeds. They must focus on pleasing Allah throughout their life time now , ” the Khateeb said.
Sheikh John adds that Hajj is the new start of every Muslim’s life.
“After performing Hajj, you are pure from all bad deeds that you did in the past years. There is need for them to prioritize the remembrance of Allah, ” he said.
The preacher advised Muslims to perform Hajj once in their lifetime.
“I need to urge Muslims who are capable to go and perform Hajj once in their lifetime. This is one of the pillars of Islam,” he said.
Sheikh John has also urged Muslims to always rely on God.
“Muslims must prioritize doing deeds that please God. They should always remember that one day, they will meet God and be answerable for their deeds on earth, ” he said.
