One of the Islamic health charity organizations, Islamic Health Association of Malawi (IHAM) recently conducted a successful Medical camp in some hospitals in central region of Malawi.
The medical procedures were being conducted in Kasungu, Dowa and Lilongwe.
Speaking in an interview with Hajj Daiton, Executive Director for the Association said the Camp was very successful.
“People who had no hope of having their problems have managed to be assisted.
some of the procedures have never been done in the country,” he said.
“Over 100 people have benefited from this Medical camp including those that had cataract extraction and surgeries in general”, said Daiton.
He then hailed the Asain Business Community and other well-wishers for their support.
“We are very grateful to our brothers and sisters from Asian Business Community and other individuals for funding the initiative that has benefited Malawians tremendously”.
“Islamic Health Association has Malawians at heart, the organization will strive to give them the best-needed health care” added Daiton.
Surgeries were being conducted in conjunction with international surgeons under the banner Physician Across the Continent (PAC) and the Ministry of health.
