Islamic Information Bureau (IIB) has come again with another sisters camp for girls between the age of 13-25.
This year’s camp will be held under the theme,” Relevant skills for the development of Islami and sustainable socio-economic growth in Malawi. ”
Abdul Hamid chibwe, Islamic information bureau youth desk told Malawi Muslim Website that the camp has been put in place to empower Muslim sisters to use their dynamism and innovative mind towards improving their lives spiritually and physically.
“It will also provide the sisters with tools to enhance their efforts as agents of change in their communities,” he said.
According to Chibwe, the camp happens annually and this year it will take place in southern region.
He added that IIB is optimistic that the camp will impart several skills to be responsible citizens.
“We believe that sisters will come out of the camp empowered with relevant skills that they will assist in socio-economic growth of the country,”
“We believe we will stimulate and reinforce a positive attitude towards their education. We are also going to teach them on how they can build self- esteem and we are going to provide an opportunity for them to practice and show their skill development,” he said.
The camp will run from 24th to 27th December,2019 It will at Blantyre Islamic Mission (BIM) along chikwawa Road.
