President Peter Mutharika says the country will have a state-of the art fertilizer manufacturing company.
Mutharika made the remarks after meeting business magnets in the United Kingdom yesterday.
“On Thursday evening, I held fruitful talks with business tycoons from Israel, Ukraine, France and Morocco who are based in the United Kingdom,”
“During the meeting, we managed to secure a deal on establishing a state-of the art fertilizer manufacturing company,” Mutharika said.
Mutharika also discussed with the investors on the need to invest in mining and shipping sectors.
“We also urged the investors on the need to invest in our mining and shipping sectors,”
“A high powered delegation from the business tycoons will be coming to Malawi to do a feasibility study next week,” he said.
The team was led by Mr. Akbar Asif, chairman of British Marine Limited and Mr. Nir Gess, a board member.
