Malawian students studying at Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) have been commended for good manners.
The patron of Islamic University Malawi Students Association (IUMSA) ,Mr Ssemakula says the students are moral and urged them to continue.
“I have never had any serious indiscipline issue from Malawian students. You need to continue being discplined to maintain the good image of Malawian students in IUIU ,” he says.
Ssemakula who is also an Assistant Academic Registrar tells the students to work hard in academics to achieve what they want.
“You are here for academics and you need to always work hard. Don’t ever try to cheat in examinations because once caught, you will be discontinued . I don’t want any Malawian student to be expelled over examinations malpractice,” he says.
In his remarks, Chairman of IUMSA , Imaan Mussa reminded the students to be united through participating in various activities organised by the association.
The chairman says the association has lined up various activities such as sports activities, reach out initiatives among others to bring the students together.
Over 30 students are pursuing various programs at Islamic University in Uganda such as Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication, Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Nutrition, Bachelor of Statistics, Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Laws.
