The director of Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), Females’ Campus, Dr Madina Nabukeera has urged Malawian students to love one another if they want to be successful.
Dr Madina made the remarks today during a party organised by continuing students to welcome new students at the campus.
She says the Malawian students are supposed to be united if they want to excel academically and socially in Uganda.
The chairlady of Malawi students at IUIU Females’ campus Aisha Juma, a first year Bachelor of Social Science student says it is significant for the students to be united because they are away from home.
“We are abroad and we need to keep a good relationship among ourselves. Despite coming from different districts in Malawi but when we are here, we need to cooperate and support each other,” she says.
Juma hails the IUIU Females’ campus administration for the support rendered to Malawi students.
“I need to thank the university administration especially our director Dr Madina for being with us in all situations,” she says.
The number of Malawian students at IUIU Females’ campus has increased from 3 to 12. The students are studying various programs such as Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Bachelor of Procurement and Logistics Management (BPLM) and Bachelor of Social Science among others.
IUIU Females’ campus in Kabojja accommodates girls only .The Islamic synopsis of the campus offers a best environment for girls to concentrate on education and become responsible citizens.
Other campuses of IUIU are Main campus in Mbale, Kampala campus at Kibuli hills, and Arua campus in Arua.
