The Chairman of the Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM) Sheikh Idrissah Muhammad has commissioned a 45 Million Kwacha Islamic Secondary School constructed by the association in Dedza district.
Speaking during the function yesterday, Sheikh Muhammad said MAM is geared to construct many modern Islamic schools across the country.
MAM Chairman asked the people of the area to send their children to school to become productive citizens of the country.
Sheikh Muhammad encouraged the community to form a school committee and promised to build teachers houses another 2 school blocks, laboratory and school fence.
According to MAM Chairman, this will happen if the community will mould bricks.
MAM has already constructed a mosque,staff office and library, Madrassah block and two school blocks.
The Islamic School is called Chikuse Islamic School and is situated in Chikuse Village, Traditional Authority Kasumbu in Dedza district.
