The Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM) has commended the Moroccan government for establishing embassy in the country.
MAM national chairman Sheikh Idrissa Muhammad expressed the excitement yesterday at the Moroccan embassy in Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe. Sheikh Muhammad welcomed Head of Mission Abdelkader Naji to Malawi.
The leader of Muslims in the country promised to work hand in hand with the embassy for the development of Malawi and Islam.
Today, Minister of Energy Honorable Ibrahim Matola hosted the Moroccan ambassador at his office. Matola said during the meeting, the two discussed about the energy sector.
“Today, I had the pleasure of hosting H.E. Abdelkader Naji, Moroccan Head of Mission to Malawi at my office. We talked about the energy sector and other development initiatives in which they are interested in assisting the Malawi Government. I also took the opportunity to thank the Kingdom of Morocco for establishing an embassy in Malawi,” Matola said.
The establishment of Moroccan embassy in Malawi is expected to boost a bilateral relationship between the two countries.
