Al-Barakah Charity Trust owned Mama Khadija Girls Private Academy in Mangochi has awarded a student who performed outstandingly in 2019 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations on Saturday.
The institution awarded Aneesa Hassan for scooping 15 points.
Malawi Muslim Website contacted Hawa Asmah, a Trainee Teacher at the school who said teachers were also awarded during the ceremony.
“It is an awarding ceremony of both teachers and students. It occurs every year. They award a student who managed good points in MSCE examinations”
“They also award teachers those students performed their subjects well. It is like they buy a distinction at a certain price,” Asmah said.
He added that the institution also awards every teacher to appreciate the good work they are doing.
Mama Khadija Private Girls Academy is one of best Islamic secondary schools in Malawi.
The school has taught several students who are serving diligently in various sectors such as health and education.
