In a statement signed by Secretary for Health, Dr. Charles Mwansambo, the Ministry of Health says it is now ready to issue official Covid-19 vaccine certificates to individuals who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

The Ministry of Health says the certificate will be issued as a digital copy which can be saved and presented digitally or printed into a hard copy when such may be required.

“Individuals who were fully vaccinated, those that have received two doses of the Astra zeneca vaccine, are eligible to obtain their Covid-19 certificate or one dose of the Johnson and Johnson [Janssen] vaccine,” reads a statement in part.

Minister of Health, Hon. Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, assured Malawians during the rolling out of the Covid-19 vaccines that the vaccine is not mandatory but by one’s choice but on the contrary, private and public institutions are now forcing their employees to be vaccinated in NO VACCINATION, NO WORK POLICY.

In view of this, the Centre for Democracy and Development Initiatives (CDEDI) wrote the Hon. Minister of Health, Hon. Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda giving her 7 days to say the truth about Covid-19 vaccines and why institutions are forcing workers to be vaccinated contrary to her statement that the vaccines are not mandatory.

Meanwhile, some African countries are slowly forcing their people to be vaccinated with punitive measures which automatically will force people to rise against their governments for failing to tell the truth on Covid-19 vaccines amid so many conspiracy theories going round in social media platforms one of it being those that have received the jabs will not stay long.

Zimbabwe has announced that all government employees must get Covid-19 vaccine or else they must resign while in South Africa, things are different, the South African government has announced that people without Covid-19 vaccination will from 15th September 2021 not be allowed to use public transport and it will give free tickets to vaccinated football fans attending a World Cup qualifier between South Africa and Ethiopia next months.

In the United States of America [USA], President Joe Biden is reported to be planning to sign an executive order requiring all federal workers including those in foreign embassies to be vaccinated saying the order will not allow some people to take options of being regularly tested instead of them to be vaccinated.
