Muslim sisters Aids Network Association (Musanet) elections have been postponed until further notice, that is according to organisation’s chairlady, sister Jamila Lire.
“I should say that elections have been postponed. There were some minor issues which wanted to be sorted out, once done we will do,” sister Lire told Malawi Muslim Official Website on Friday.
Sister Lire further said that they are meeting on Sunday to see the way forward and the next date will be announced after that meeting.
“We are meeting on Sunday to see the way forward but elections are there and we will be able to announce the next date after that meeting,” she said.
Musanet was expecting to hold elections on Sunday but there were some problems like the low turn up of people to contest and that others wanted the current regime to continue without doing elections, things that did not go well with other members, according to other sources.
Feeling very sorry whatever caused the postpondment,Iwish we could have helped in solving the problem.
Insha Allah, we plan Allah fulfills
