The chairperson of  the organisation Bashir Kamwendo told Malawi Muslim Online Newspaper in an interview that the organisation is composed of former university and college students.

Kamwendo, who is a graduate of Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Luanar) -Bunda campus says the students through the organization will continue charity works as they were doing in Muslim Students Associations (MSAs) in their respective universities and colleges.

“We would like to bring together these young people and continue work they were doing in different MSA’s and grow further,” says Kamwendo.

He says the organisation will be addressing  all the challenges that fellow Muslim youths are facing in the communities.

He added: “We would like to help our fellow Muslim youths in issues that they face in communities. Our focus areas are school fees problems in secondary schools and colleges by engaging members to contribute and connections to sponsors, youth empowerment by encouraging them in financial literacy and issues of HIV/AIDS among others.”

The chairman says the organisation so far has 16 members and he is  asking other former Muslim university and college students to join the group for a common goal to help the fellow Muslim youngsters.

The first initiative of the organisation will be helping orphans at Iqra International Academy formerly known as Bibi Khadija Orphanage on Saturday, 26th October, 2019.

The organisation has former students from University of Malawi, Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mzuzu University , Lilongwe Technical  College and Don Bosco Technical College among others.

Meanwhile, the organisation is asking well-wishers to help with any amount to achieve their objective to help the orphans at the education facility.
