Muslim students under their umbrella body called National Muslim Students Association (NAMSA) vow to plant trees on 1st February ,2020 in Lilongwe.
NAMSA Vice Secretary Tanweera Chikwatu confirmed the development to Malawi Muslim Website.
“We have a tree planting activity scheduled for 1st February 2020 at Chisiyo primary school (along the bypass road- near UNICAF proposed site)
“Our target is to plant at least 200 trees. Both fruit (K1000 each) and natural trees(K200 each)”she says.
NAMSA is asking well-wishers to contribute towards the activity.
“We have not yet reached the target. As this is an opportunity to earn swadaqatul jaariya, contributions from interested parties are still welcome,”

The tree planting exercise will be conducted by representatives from Lilongwe Muslim Students Association and Central Region Muslim Students Association among others.
