Researchers from Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) have invented an Automatic Water and Soap Dispenser where people can wash their hands without touching either water or soap taps.
Director of Research and Postgraduate Studies at the institution , Dr Maluwa has confirmed the development to Malawi Muslim Website.
“The inventor works automatically using sensor and a solar battery powered controller,” he said.
He added the inventor is being demonstrated today on how it is going to be operating.
“The inventor has two taps which is one for soap and the other one for water and it opens automatically,” Dr Maluwa told Malawi Muslim Website.
This comes barely two days after students at the Islamic University of Uganda (IUIU) invented the Hands-Free Hand-Washer to ensure hygiene and save water amid COVID-19 pandemic.
