Muslim Women Organisation (MWO) has demanded justice into the death of Zainab Mbowani who was brutally murdered by unknown thugs on Tuesday in Blantyre.
MWO Secretary General Shameem Chakwana told Malawi Muslims Official Website in an interview that Zainab was a role model to many and her death is a big loss not only to the Muslim community but the whole nation.
Chakwana has therefore conquered with Minister of Gender Patricia Kaliati who called upon the law enforcers to speed up with their investigations into the matter.
“We’re very much concerned about the death of Zainab Mbowani, because as a graduate she was a role model to the upcoming girls. We have a culture of not educating girls and for her to reach the level of graduating in bachelors of science, it was so admirable. As for those who did the killing what wrong did she do which could not be resolved? We agree with the Minister of Gender that the police should find out what happened and bring the suspects to book for them to face the law,” she said.
