National Muslim Students Association (NAMSA) has introduced a sisters development program to prepare Muslim girls who have just written Malawi School Certificate of Education and are going into colleges and universities. The first session of the program will be held under the theme ” Start building your brand.”
Speaking in Interview with Malawi Muslims Website, NAMSA Vice Secretary and the facilitator of the program, sister Tanweera Chikwatu says most girls lack guidance on their way to colleges and universities.
“This program will equip muslim girls with, personal development, spiritual development,social development,academic development and professional development,”
“Muslim girls can have both academic and spiritual wise. So, this program has been put in place with an ultimate goal of helping these girls in shaping a good future for themselves,” she says.
Sister Tanweera says the program will reach every region of Malawi but the first session is taking place in southern region.
“It is our dream to reach every region but the program will start in the southern region. The program will be taking place every weekend from 2nd November to 17th November, 2019 at kanjedza primary school in Blantyre from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm,”
“For those who want to enroll in this program should register their names by calling or Whatsapp to 0999 593 238 or 0999 213 849 before 1st November, 2019. The registration fee of Mk2000,” she says.
NAMSA is an organisation comprised of Muslim students from all colleges and universities in Malawi.
