Nazeer & Naseema Mustapha Education Center, a school owned by a Malawian man based in South Africa, AbdulRashid Jannah has trained women on how to produce manure in Mangochi district.
Speaking in exclusive interview with Muslim Media Agency, Jannah said the move is aimed at helping the women to use manure due to high cost of fertilizer.
“We have trained women around Kassim Village,Senior Chief Chowe Mangochi on how to produce manure due to high cost of fertilizer. We need the women to be using manure in their farms to deal with hunger in the area,” he told Muslim Media Agency.
Jannah said Fifty women from six villages benefited from the program .
“We are optimistic that the women will also teach others on how to produce manure. Our aim is to see families harvest bumper yields this year. That is our aim,”he said.
One of the women who benefitted from the program, Sister Fatima Aufi commended Nazeer & Naseema Mustapha Education Center for the program.
Sister Aufi asked the education center to continue with several developmental programs to boost living standards of people in Kassim and surrounding villages , Senior Chief Chowe in Mangochi district.
