It is no longer a secret that Qatar never compromise faith over worldly desires. The country values Islam over forces that seem to go against religion.
As the host of FIFA World Cup 2022, the middle East country,Qatar has denied several forces that could break their backbone,Islam.
As the first nation to host the World Cup in the Arabian Peninsula, Qatar made it clear that the country can never change the way it runs its affairs during the period of the world’s prestigious football event.
This is an Islamic country where all the values and ethics come from the Holy Qur’an and the Sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The writer is not branding Qatar as the holiest country but it has demonstrated a heart that the love of your faith must always surpass the love of worldly things.
Qatar has made it clear that no alcohol will be sold in the stadiums during the world cup. The Prophet Muhammad ( SAW) made it clear that alcohol is prohibited.
The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, “Whoever drinks alcoholic drinks in the world and does not repent (before dying), will be deprived of it in the Hereafter.” Qatar as an Islamic country, couldn’t/can’t go against the teachings of the last prophet, Muhammad (SAW).
The country has also banned the practice or promotion of same sex marriages. In Islam, same sex marriages are prohibited. At no point , the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) or Allah allowed the same sex. This is an innovation and all the innovations (bidiah) have no room in Islam.
The last Prophet of Allah said,โThe most evil affairs are the innovations (bidโah), and every innovation (bidโah) is an error.โ We have some practices that spark tensions among Muslims and Qatar has demonstrated the need to be unique despite any external influence.
Faith is gold. Faith is extraordinary. Faith is priceless. There is a need to guard our faith jealously no matter what. Qatar’s love for Islam is outstanding.
