The board of trustees and Executive Board of Qadria Muslim Association of Malawi has appointed Alhajj Adam Mwale as Acting National Chairman of the association.
According to the Press Statement made available to Malawi Muslims Official Website, Alhajj Mwale’s appointment follows a meeting held on 20th May 2017.
Alhajj Adam Mwale was before this appointment, the Vice Chairman of QMAM and has served in this capacity for a number of years.
The appointment of the acting Chairman comes as a result of the demise of the national chairman Alhajj Khalid Likonde in March 2017.
“The board of trustees, Executive Board and the Muslim community (Qadria/Sunni) wish to extend their best wishes and support to Alhajj Adam Mwale , and pray that Allah (God the Almighty) grant him good health and wisdom to lead QMAM to greater heights on its journey to streangthen the Qadriyya tariqa in Malawi and promote peace and religion tolerance in Malawi,” reads part of the announcement.
