Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) says it is ready to release reports on allegations of sexual harassment at the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and the shooting of Blessings Nyondo, a former Polytechnic student.
According to a media release issued by the Commission and signed by its Executive Secretary Ms. Habiba Osman, the Commission has concluded with the investigations.
“The Human Rights Commission is pleased to report the conclusion of the two high profile investigations into the alleged sexual harassment cases at MBC and the shooting of Blessings Nyondo, a former student from polytechnic. These investigations are now concluded and reports are now ready for dissemination,” reads part of the release.
The report will be released to the relevant stakeholders on Monday 29th March 2021 at Amaryllis Hotel Blantyre from 9 am.
“Due to Covid 19 measures, the room will only accommodate a maximum of 50 people and the commission had invited 4 media houses to participate others may join through MHRC’S Facebook page and through zoom link,” reads a release signed by Ms. Habiba Osman.
