The president of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan will visit Malawi, ministry of foreign affairs says.
According a statement issued by the ministry, the president will be in the country for three days.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform the members of the public that, at the invitation of His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera , President of the Republic of Malawi , Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the Republic of Zambia , will undertake a three-day State Visit to the Republic of Malawi from 5th to 7th July, 2023,” reads a statement.
A statement adds that Hassan also be a special guest of honour during Malawi’s 59th anniversary independence celebrations.
“During the State Visit, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan will, among other engagements , join as a Special Guest of Honour , His Excellency Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and the people of Malawi in commemorating Malawi’s 59th Anniversary of Independence on Thursday, 6th July, 2023,” reads a statement.
Hassan will arrive in Malawi through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in Malawi’s capital, Lilongwe.
