The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates its 78th Anniversary today (Thursday), marking the unification of the country by King Abdul Aziz in 1932. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, usually known as Saudi Arabia, is the largest Arab country of the Middle East. It is bordered by Jordan and Iraq on the north and northeast, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates on the east, Oman on the southeast, and Yemen on the south. Saudi Arabia’s command economy is petroleum-based; roughly 75 percent of budget revenues and 90 percent of export earnings come from the oil industry. The oil industry comprises about 45 percent of Saudi Arabia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), compared with 40 percent from the private sector. Saudi Arabia officially has about 260 billion barrels of oil reserves, comprising about one-fifth of the world’s proven total petroleum reserves. Saudi Arabia is a founding member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the United Nations, the League of Arab States, the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), and numerous other international organizations. The Kingdom is a substantial contributor to the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Saudi Arabia is a major provider of aid to developing countries. The Kingdom’s ratio of development assistance to Gross National Product (GNP) is the one of the highest in the world, averaging 5.5 percent, and Saudi Arabia ranks second after the US in overall assistance. On May 6, 2009, a Philippines-Saudi Arabia business forum was organized in Manila by the Department of Agriculture (DA) in cooperation with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the Philippines-Saudi Business Council (PSBC). The forum was a good vehicle to foster the two nations’ partnership in the field of agriculture. The forum highlighted the advantages of the suitability of the Philippines in attracting Saudi investment as a potential strong exporter and one of the largest producers of high-quality agricultural products worldwide such as bananas, pineapples, and coconuts. We congratulate the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by His Majesty, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, and its Embassy in the Philippines headed by H.E., Ambassador Abdullah Al Hassan, on the occasion of the 78th Anniversary of their National Day. We wish them all the best and success in all their endeavors.

A very brief but educative history.Theologically, it is the only country that bears the flag with tauheed(laa ilaha ila llahu Muhammadur rasulu llah) and the beautiful green colour representing the colour of jannat.
Historically the kingdom of Saud Arabia is almost entirely the creation of king Ibn Saud(1882-1953).The Hejaz and Nejd regions were merged to form the kingdom of Saud Arabia in 1932 which was an absolute monarchy ruled by Sharia.Allahu akbar.( may Allah guide us all to ever follow sharia inshaallah.
The mornachy system of government was followed until 1992 at which time the Saud loyal family introduced the country's first constitution. The legal system is based on the shariah(islamic law)

I wish others could read from your comment, brother Tung’ande, which is very beneficial especially to one who follows the daily updates of this website. I really thank you for the brief but great introduction of this Islamic historic country, Saudi Arabia.
Yeah. Is true. But why Saudi is most blessed country?
In brief brother,
Ishmael has been the answer to Abraham's plea to One God that he wants an heir.(remember that Abraham was a freind of God) so the said heir will be the son of a freind of God.
God promised Abraham a "seed" from his own bowel-Genesis
15v4.
God gave the only son"seed"from his own bowels through
Hagar(the rock)-Genesis 16v4.
This son will be named Ishmael BECAUSE God has heard thy
affliction(of needing an heir)-Genesis 16v11.
So he was blessed.Genesis 17v20.
AS FOR ISAAC.
He was announced by the angel that Sarah stopped to be
after the manner of all women(menstuation period).Gen 18v11.
Biologically, Isaac could have not been the son of Abraham
but in our case he is because God said it even if we do not have biblical account of Abraham posting his seed into Sarah.
Therefore Saud Arabia being founded by Ishmael the son of
the freind of Allah is likely to enjoy more blessings than
any other county on earth. Talk of peace, justice, tranquility
welfare what of you. A country without rainfall but
food throughout the year.
May Allah guide us all towards the monotheistic faith
brought by Ibrahim and his seed and heir Ismail.
