Moyale Barracks coach Prichard Mwansa has said that his team is ready to revenge the defeat they suffered against Blue Eagles in the first round of the tnm super league.
Speaking in a prematch interview ahead of the Saturday afternoon kickoff at Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe, Mwansa said it was painful that they lost at home in the first round but will aim at revenging come Saturday.
“We lost in a very painful way because we conceded at the 93rd minute which gave us no chance to get an equaliser but this Saturday we’re geared to collect the maximum points.” he stated
Mwansa also hailed the impact the new players have had on the team since their arrival saying they have changed the level of competition in the team.
“The players who have come in have added few things including competition which is allowing us to be a competitive side than the first round, and we believe that teams will find it hard to collect points against us in the second half of the competition.” said Mwansa
Meanwhile Blue Eagles team Manager Christopher Sibale said they are to play the Soldiers from Kaning’ina and will approach the game with seriousness as they aim to keep on closing the gap with league leaders Nyasa Big Bullets.
“This is not the right time to drop points and we are going to give Moyale the toughest match so we can collect the points as we aim towards the championship.” Sibale said
Sibale also confirmed that newly signed attackers Christopher Gototo and Richard Ranson will be in the matchday squad.
The two teams are separated by 13 points after 16 games of play with Blue Eagles sitting second on the log table with 33 points while Moyale are 8th with 20 points. Both teams enjoyed a winning start to the second round of games with the hosts Blue Eagles beating Karonga United 1-0 away in Karonga and Moyale hitting Mighty Tigers by 3 goals to 1 at Mzuzu Stadium.
