Zainab Mbowani’s Suspected killer Goodson Namadidi has been convicted and sentenced to 21 years imprisonment by Blantyre Central Senior Resident Magistrate Court after he was found guilty for an offence of armed robbery.
Namadidi 22, who is nicknamed Gude committed the offence on 30 November 2021 near Blantyre International University in Michiru Forest where he murdered Miss Zainabu Mbowani before going away with a Laptop Computer and a Home Theater.
The police arrested him following investigations into the murder.
“Two cases of Murder and Armed Robbery were opened against him after he had admitted in Police that He is indeed the one who had Murdered the deceased and that he went away with the said properties,” said Public Relations Officer for Blantyre Police Station Peter Mchiza.
Mchiza further said on 16th of December, 2021 Gunde appeared before the court where he admitted both charges.
Namadidi has therefore started serving the 21 year long sentence while waiting for Judgement of the murder case.
He hails from Suya Village Traditional Authority Machinjiri in Blanytre District.
