Malawi President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has congratulated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for wining elections in the United States of America as President-Elect and Vice President-Elect respectively.
Biden defeated incumbent President, Donald Trump to win the White House.
President Chakwera has joined other world leaders to congratulate Biden and Harris who are democrats.
“Congratulations to US President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice-President Elect Kamala Harris. I know that under your leadership, Malawi-USA relations will continue to thrive,” Chakwera said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, Biden who is the 46th President of the United States has vowed to unite Americans.
“America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country,”
“The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not. I will keep the faith that you have placed in me,” Biden says.
