As only 33 days remaining for the new dawn of Ramadaan, Malawi Muslims Official Website outlines some of the important points about Ramadaan.
Ramadaan is the 9th month of Islamic Calendar which comes after Shabaan where Muslims all over the world tends to fast for 30 days. Ramadaan is encouraged to be observed because it is one of the pillars of Islam and its countless blessings.
As we all aware and accept the fact that one gains respect and value due to ones connections and relations, this month of Ramadaan has an incredible value because it is connected with Quraa’n. Fasting in this of Ramadaan is obligatory to all creations as Allah says in the Noble Qur’aan:
“O you who believe, fasting has been ordained for you just as it was ordained for those before you, so you may become pious.” (Q 2:183)
In this Ayat Allah (S.W.T) affectionately tells us that Ramadaan is not only for Muslims but even the time of Jesus and Moses people were also ordained to fast.
Therefore to mention a few, the following are a brief description of why Muslims should fast in the month of Ramadaan:
1) In this month, there is a night of Qadr which is better than 1000 months.
2) This is a month of which Qur’an was sent down to first sky from Lawhe Mahfooz.
3) The thawaaab of a good deed is equal to the fardh of another month.
4) This is the month of patience and the reward of patience is Jannah (paradise).
5) This month teaches the lesson of kindness towards others
6) The daily bread of Muslims is increased.
7) The first ten days are of mercy, second ten days are for forgiveness and the last ten days are of being freed from Hell.
The month of Ramadaan is a month in which the mercy and blessings of Allah Ta’aala descend upon us continuously.
Therefore brothers and sisters in Islam, let us not miss this important month as it comes once a year and we don’t know if Allah will keep us up to the next Ramadaan.
Now are we ready?

so ready,insha Allah!
Yes! we are very ready to wellcome Ramadhan. W e should be very proud for this great fortune which Allah grant to only those He wishes to.
My advise to all is:
Lets prepare for it as we do for any of our visitors..we prepare good food and other things for them,so too we do with Ramadhan..osati tidzikhalira kupempha..please tithandizeni zofutulira! as if before Ramadhan you had nothing to eat.
The way you keep your life before Ramadhan do the same when it comes to you. What all you need to do if you want to eat in a group, just sensetize all Muslims around your area to bring the little they have in their respective houses to one place either at the Mosque and together you make your iftar.
Know that Allah loves those most who give the little they have to a fasting person.
Kodi abale inu simufuna sawabu koma amwenye basi? chodabwitsa ndichakuti m'midzi mwathu timalima mpunga ndi mbewu zina zomwe amwenye amadzagula ndipo ikafika Ramadhan amatipatsanso ife omwe tidawagulitsa kodi sitichita manyazi potero?
lets learn to keep some during the haversting period so that we use it during Ramadhan
Zikomo Ramadhan yabwino asilamu anzanga kumalawiko
Ramadhan is a month during which ALLAH accepts our dua’s within a short period because we are always close to him.We therefore have to increase his rememberance(dhikr)not only during Ramadhan, but all the time for he does not forget us.Ramadhan should also make reflect on our actions in the other months and lets strive to keep ourselves away from anything that may attract ALLAH’s wrath on us.
MashaAllah, a helpful article at a good time. May Allah make us get the holy month alive.
As for the time table, I think it is for those who reside in Malawi only because the timing of Salat, iftaar and other times are quite different from others areas.
Masha Allah! With eleven day or slightly more remaining before ramadhaan bi-izhnillahi ta'ala, i just hope that the muslims world over will be in safety and peace by the permission of Allah azz'wajal. And i am also dedicating them all a Nasheed "Welcome Ramadhan" by Sheikh Al-Imam Mishary Rashid Al-Afaasy Its so resfreshing. If one needs a video of the nasheed, I can send it to you if request by sending me your email address.
The more serious issue of commenting on this posting is to seek clarity from the writer of the article on Point 7 i.e. 7) The first ten days are of mercy, second ten days are for forgiveness and the last ten days are of being freed from Hell. Concerning this point, Sheikh Abu Usamah Ath-Thahabi, Imam of Greenlane Masjid in Birmingham and also graduate from The Islamic University of Al Madinah gave a lecture on Issue surrounding ramadhaan, and pointed out the the Ahadith (i.e Your 7th point) is Un-Authentic even it is well know and he gave justice to the topic Mashaallah.
He stated that the whole month and everyday of the month is a day/Month of Rahmah, Maghfirah and being freed from the Nnar of Jahannam, Unless you listen to the you may not appreciate what i am trying to say…. but ultimately, he dealt with the topic intellectually from my point of view. If you with to listen to the same Darse, you can request by sending me a mail to Alex.Mwewa@kcm.co.zm and i will do my best by the permission of Allah.
