Muvi wa Chilungamo says Malawians were demanding the presidential powers to be trimmed not actually powers or office, but that of President Mutharika for running Malawi as a personal estate.

In his 3rd weekly address last Saturday, Dr Chakwera promised to reduce his presidential powers.

The organization says President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has proved that he is a leader Malawians have been waiting for, listening president, a president of sound mind hence, no need to trim his presidential powers.

Its Commander in Chief, Bantu Saunders Jumah, the Utopian, says what is needed most is Dr. Chakwera’s assurance that each of the three arms of Government; the Executive, the Legislature and the Judiciary is functioning independently saying the president need to have powers in pardoning prisoners, and interventions on Theft and Corruption charges and national unity.

Jumah advises President Dr. Chakwera to establish a Tribunal probing DPP atrocities in its years of ruling Malawi with recommendations to courts in order to make the draining of swamps and clearing the rubbles a success saying Malawians should never be cheated that after the fall of Mutharika and DPP, corruption is over.

He thanked the president for coming to the rescue of the soldiers stopping deductions of K35,000 each for tracksuits that is part of their uniforms saying that their SACCO is again in the mess as they are suffering with deductions for no valid reasons saying the principle of transparency and accountability is lacking in this SACCO.

“One concerned soldier from DRC is pleading with you, Dr. Chakwera if it will be possible for the soldiers to get their benefits in advance while they alive. We have lost our soldiers and none has received the terminal benefits” says Jumah.

Jumah also expresses a concern over podium decorations with flowers for cabinet ministers saying this will not benefit Malawi Wokomela Tonse but an individual who is cashing from it alleging that he is pocketing K8 million, saying this is the third disappointments Tonse Government has made after cabinet appointments and recalling of Principal Secretaries for employment into the civil service.
