Malawi President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has described the Public lecture on mindset Change delivered by Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima at Bingu International Convention Centre last night , as timely and desperately needed.
In a statement issued on Malawi Government Official Facebook Page, Dr Chakwera who was the guest of honour at the lecture, said mindset change is a key element towards transformation of the country as negative attitudes has contributed heavily to the country’s stagnant growth.
In a statement, the President said the issue of mindset change is not only about those in leadership positions, but the citizenry in general.
“Dr Chakwera further said that it is high time that the citizens stop getting busy with matters that cannot bring any change to the country and start tackling the real challenges,”
“The President said poverty, gender inequality are some of the issues that people should jointly move to address,” reads a statement.
Vice President Chilima’s public lecture brought together people from various professions.
